When the electoral will of the Sabah people in the 1985 State Elections was unlawfully denied by the Istana incident and there was great confusion and fear everywhere the late Tan Sri displayed enormous strength fearlessness and courage to proceed to the Istana and have Tan Sri Pairin installed as the rightful Chief Minister of Sabah.
